KHFD responds to an average of 680 emergency calls a year which consist of emergency medical, fire suppression, automobile accidents, and ocean rescue. KHFD is most proud of its public outreaches to the community.

Lake Song Properties

Overlooking the lake and only a short walk across the sandy dunes, to the beach. Enjoy the beautiful ocean view to the east. Watch the ducks, egrets, gulls and other wildlife from the balconies. Kids delight at feeding the turtles in the lake.

Cypress House Inn

Located only 125 yards from the ocean at Mile Post 8 on the Beach Road (1 Lot Oceanfront) in Kill Devil Hills, the Cypress House Inn is the closest bed and breakfast to the ocean. A public beach access is directly in front of the inn. We are centrally located to all area attractions.
