Head out to the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills this weekend for the 32nd Annual Wright Kite Festival. Admission to the memorial is $4 for adults and free to children 16 and under.

First time at New York Pizza Pub in Nags Head last night. The food was outstanding! We’ll be going back there several times for the month we are down here. Joe, the owner was out front and very friendly. Joe’s from the Bronx and has that unmistakable New York accent. Tracy, in charge of the wait staff and kitchen is from Boston and is a hoot to listen to.

We accidentally stopped by the Beach Road Grill in Nags Head at Mile Post 10.5 on the Virginia Dare Trail. We were glad the other place we intended to visit was closed. The food was great. Fresh cut french fries and great sandwiches were on tap. Friendly service and great local atmosphere. We recommend the Beach Road Grill. Meet Jan and Jane, twin sisters and owners!
