Local baseball: Peninsula Pilots win at Outer Banks
The Peninsula Pilots let the game slip in the ninth, but took control in the 10th inning to win 7-5 at the Outer Banks Daredevils in the Coastal Plain League. Jonathan Lynch drove in the winning run with a single in the 10th, and Ivan Hartle added an insurance RBI knocking in Josh Wright.

Steamers washed out, doubleheader tonight
The Edenton Steamers, hoping to rebound from a 10-4 loss at Coastal Plain League North Division cellar-dweller Petersburg Friday night, were rained out of Saturdays home game against the Outer Banks Daredevils.

Steamers rally past Daredevils
Thursday night the Edenton Steamers picked up in the second half of the Coastal Plain League season right where they left off in the first winning games with late rallies and strong relief pitching.
