We are just ending a family vacation on Ocracoke Island off the coast of North Carolina. We have been coming here for 35 years now, and though so much has changed, the simple beauty of the place remains.

Matt Lusk – No Place Like Home This Sunday May 16, 2010 on UNC TV at 6:30 PM the TV program “ My Heart Will Always Be In Carolina ” with Ken Mann will feature surfing on the Outer Banks.  Surfing legend Bob Holland talks about when and how people started surfing in North Carolina, Steve Wise gives viewers a look at his massive surfboard collection dating back to the 1930s.

Mike and Beth here, owners of EverythingOuterBanks.com and OuterBanksOnTheWeb.com. We arrived very late last night, around 1am. Happy as punch with the house we rented. Turns out it has four bedrooms instead of the three we thought the Sun Realty site showed. We were so focused on the pictures we missed the text that said 4 bedrooms. Let that be a lesson to those of us who run websites. Pictures should show every room without needing to go deeper into a website. Sometimes the initial pictures are all we really focus on. Had we needed four bedrooms we would have never selected this great place. We love Sun Realty!

Selling Real Estate 101

We accidentally stopped by the Beach Road Grill in Nags Head at Mile Post 10.5 on the Virginia Dare Trail. We were glad the other place we intended to visit was closed. The food was great. Fresh cut french fries and great sandwiches were on tap. Friendly service and great local atmosphere. We recommend the Beach Road Grill. Meet Jan and Jane, twin sisters and owners!
