We stopped by Mama Kwan’s Grill & Tiki Bar in Kill Devil Hills today for lunch. We never stopped by there before. What a pleasant surprise! The staff was very friendly and at 1PM they were packed to capacity on a Tuesday. Now that says something about a restaurant.

I had the Garbage Plate: Sauteed veggies, pineapples, mixed mescaline greens, bean sprouts, marinated cucumbers. Jasmine rice and a side of our House Teriyaki sauce.  You can get it with Tuna, Chicken or Plain. I got chicken and it was great. Understand that I spent 23 years in the Air Force and have enjoyed food from all over the world. If you are looking for a delicious and unique experience I highly recommend them.

Beth had the Sesame Grilled Chicken Breast: A boneless chicken breast encrusted sesame seeds grilled and drizzled with tasty sweet chili sauce. Served with Jasmine rice & Oriental Cole Slaw. Beth was equally pleased. I had to try her Oriental Cole Slaw and it was out of this world good. I’ll be sure to order that in addition to anything else I order next time, and there will be several next times this trip.
