Memorial Day
I know many of us view Memorial Day as a picnic holiday or the start of summer. Some of us view it as a day to remember veterans. While it might be nice to remember veterans, it is important to remember Memorial Day is not for veterans that survived.
I served 22 years, 8 months and 9 days. However, this holiday is not for me. It is for some of my friends who did not return from their missions. As the saying goes, all gave some and some gave all. This weekend remember there were those who gave all. Remember them and the family members they left behind.
To the family members of those who gave all we salute you. If you have a family member or friend who has fallen in service to our country please go to WeWhoServed and tell us about them.
